Individual Accomplishments by 2009 Brickyard Collegiate Players:

  • Four 2008 Brickyard participants were selected to the 2009 Walker Cup Team.
  • Four 2008 Brickyard participants played in the 2009 US Open.
  • Eleven 2009 Brickyard participants were named 2008-2009 All- American’s.
  • Sixteen 2009 Brickyard participants qualified for the 2009 US Amateur.
  • Ben Martin of Clemson was the Runner Up in the 2009 US Amateur.
  • Drew Kittleson of Florida State was the Runner Up in the 2008 US Amateur and played in the 2009 Masters and US Open.
  • Russell Henley of Georgia won the 2008 & 2009 GA State Amateur.
  • Harris English of Georgia won the 2007 GA State Amateur.
  • Brooks Koepka of Florida State won the 2009 Rice Planters Amateur.
  • Kevin Foley of Penn State won the 2009 Sunnehana Amateur.
  • Lanto Griffin of VCU was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year for the 2008-2009 season.
  • Derek Rende of UT Chattanooga won the 2008 Tennessee State Amateur.
  • Matt Savage of Florida State won the 2008 North/ South Amateur.
  • Mitch Krywulycz of Augusta State won the 2008 Southeastern Amateur.
  • Henrik Norlander of Augusta State competed in the 2009 Palmer Cup.
